CRUDE OILFIELD SOLUTIONS PRIDES ITSELF ON DELIVERING THE HIGHEST QUALITY SERVICE SO THAT WE CAN MAINTAIN STRONG PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE LONG TERM. TYPICALLY, WHEN YOU BUY THE BEST IT COSTS YOU MUCH MORE, HOWEVER WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO FLIP THIS MODEL ON IT'S HEAD WITH OUR DRILLING VS. DAYS (D.v.D.) PHILOSOPHY.

WHAT IS DRILLING VS. DAYS?

SIMPLY PUT, IT'S THE NET BENEFIT SAVINGS FOR FINISHING PROJECTS "DAYS" FASTER INSTEAD OF HIRING CHEAPER HOURLY RATE DRILLING SERVICES. WHEN DAYS ARE SHAVED OFF OF AFE, THE SAVINGS ARE EXPONENTIALLY MAGNIFIED FOR OPERATORS VERSUS SAVING ON AN HOURLY RATE BUT TAKING LONGER (OR HAVING PERFORMANCE/PRODUCTION ISSUES).

CHEAPER HOURLY RATE WORKERS ARE GENERALLY CHEAPER FOR A REASON. THIS OFTEN RESULTS IN COST LOSS IN MULTIPLE WAYS:

THE PROJECTS TAKE "DAYS" LONGER: BECAUSE THEY ARE INCENTIVIZED TO RIDE-THE-CLOCK AND ACCUMULATE HOURS FOR THEIR COMPANY (AND THEIR OWN POCKETBOOK), THEIR INTERESTS ARE NOT ALIGNED WITH OPERATORS. IN FACT, THETY ARE DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED! ALSO, THESE GROUPS DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THE REQUIRED TOOLS/MOTORS (OR THE MOST EFFICIENT TOOLS) AND WILL OFTEN BE FORCED TO WAIT FOR DELIVERY COSTING OPERATORS EVEN MORE DELAYS.

PROJECTS EXPERIENCE ISSUES: THE CHEAP LABOR MODEL ONLY WORKS WITH HIRING "BOTTOM OF THE BARREL" DIRECTIONAL DRILLERS BECAUSE OF THEIR COST BASIS REQUIREMENTS. THIS LACK OF EXPERIENCE OR EXPERTISE OFTEN RESULTS IN ADDITIONAL COSTS LIKE DOGLEG CORRECTIONS (SEE HOW MUCH A DOGLEG CAN COST A COMPANY HERE). ALSO, DUE TO THE CUT-RATE SERVICE MODEL, THE BEST EQUIPMENT IS NOT UTILIZED OR SERVICED PROPERLY. UTILIZING IMPROPER EQUIPMENT AND LENGTHENING OF PROJECTS CREATES MORE OPPORTUNITY FOR SAFETY ISSUES.

✓ COMMUNICATION GAPS: AS A CONSEQUENCE OF POOR PERFORMANCE, CUT-RATE DD'S OFTEN SLOW-PLAY INFORMATION AND PLACE BLAME IN ORDER TO STAY ON THE JOB LONGER. THE LONGER A PROJECT TAKES, THE MORE COMMUNICATION THAT IS REQUIRED AS A MATTER OF LOGIC. THIS COMPOUNDS THE COMPLEXITY OF AN ALREADY INEFFICIENT OPERATIONAL METHODOLOGY AND CREATES MORE COST-LEAKAGE.

CRUDE'S

D.V.D. MODEL

THE D.V.D. MODEL WE HAVE PERFECTED IS DESIGNED TO WORK DIRECTLY IN CONCERT WITH THE INTERESTS OF OIL OPERATORS BY SAVING TIME, INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY, PROVIDING TRANSPARENCY IN COMMUNICATIONS AND MOST OF ALL, SIGNIFICANTLY MITIGATING RISK AND REDUCING OVERALL COST.

USE THE SLIDER TO SEE SAVINGS PER DAYS SAVED

THIS ILLUSTRATES SAVINGS ON DIRECTIONAL DRILLING SERVICES ONLY AT STANDARD RATES AND DOES NOT ACCOUNT FOR PRODUCTION LOSS, COST OF ERRORS, NPT AND OTHER FACTORS THAT MAY INCREASE THIS AMOUNT SUBSTANTIALLY.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't everyone use the D.V.D. model?

There are several reasons the industry hasn't adopted this model: 1) Change occurs very slowly in our industry....at least on pricing models. As much as our industry leads the world in technology adoption, it's slow to see change on business models and pricing. The reason, jobs are on the line! Change inherently implies risk, and although we've removed risk from our business model, there are many organizations that simply avoid it and RISK missing out on millions of dollars saved. 2) It costs a lot more! There are a lot of "fly by night" companies that stand up a lemonade stand and call themselves directional drillers. They lower their daily rate to untenable margins which makes them cut costs and cut corners. Our model took a lot of investment on our side to acquire the right talent, tools and is a much bigger barrier for entry. Very few companies are willing to make this type of investment up front. 3) It's much harder to execute for DD companies. Our busienss model is designed to shave-off DAYS, which means we must be efficieny experts. DD companies would rather put someone on the job and just say "It's finished when we're finished". We have to find ways to optimize ours (and your) time which requires decades of experience, the best tools and the best talent. 4) It takes a shift in thinking. This may be the biggest challenge of all. DD companies have placed more value on the "transaction" versus the "relationship". We understand that we can do much better financially by maintaining a long term relationship versus the short term gain of winning a project with cutting rate. We do this by being highly efficient, highgly transparent and highly professional.

How do I know you've saved me days on my AFE?

We know from data in your particular drilling area what the average time to drill a well is, and from that you will have a budget for directional drilling. We are able to leverage this information to provide you with a CONCRETE savings of days.

This sounds too good to be true...what's the catch?

The catch is, you have to be willing to pay more on the daily rate to actualize the massive savings over the life of the project. It means you'll have to justify paying a higher rate in a highly competitive marketplace. Being the best and fastest makes us the best for operator's long term savings, but requires awareness and understanding of the D.V.D. concept.

How much will we save?

The bigger the project (more drilling required) the bigger the savings. If it's a 3-day project and we save the client 1 day, we've helped actualize $75,000 in savings. If' it's a 30-day project and we've saved our clients 7 days we've helped actualize $525,000 in savings.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

WE SOURCE THE INDUSTRY'S BEST TALENT, THE LATEST EQUIPMENT, THE BEST ENGINEERING AND GEOLOGICAL TEAM, TOP FLITE ACCOUNT EXECUTIVESHIP AND COMPENSATE THEM WELL ABOVE INDUSTRY AVERAGE! THEY ARE INCENTIVIZED BY DELIVERING QUALITY ON TIME (QOT) AND NOT RIDING THE CLOCK. BY SAVING OUR CLIENTS HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS ON EACH PROJECT, WE ARE ABLRE TO ESTABLISH LONG-TERM AND ONGOING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE BEST OIL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE WORLD! IT'S A TRULY SYNERGISTIC APPROACH BETWEEN OPERATORS, DIRECTIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND EMPLOYEES THAT WE BELIEVE WILL ULTIMATELY BE AN INDUSTRY STANDARD.
